History

In 2003, ‘Insieme si può...:’, an Italian non-profit association, opened an operational office in Kampala (Uganda) and at the same time ISP in Africa was founded, an international NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation).

The main aim of ISP in Africa is to be able to operate in the territory directly and more efficiently, streamlining administrative activities and being able to access local funding directly. In 2006, in order to make its intervention even more effective and to be able to directly direct aid in Karamoja (North East), ‘Together we can...’ opened an operational office in Moroto, the capital of the very poor region that is the association's main area of intervention in which it has been intervening for years to tackle the serious famine that is affecting it. A decisive step forward: from ‘simple’ partners and financers of projects, to direct promoters, implementers and accompaniers of long-term projects.
